Stablecore, Circuit and Curql launched an early-access program for US credit unions to test stablecoin payments, tokenized deposits, BTC, on/off-ramps and staking before wiring them into existing banking platforms. Participating credit unions manage roughly $25B in assets, while Curql represents 160+ credit unions and Stablecore already has Jack Henry network access to about 1,670 bank and credit union core clients. The timing is obvious: credit unions are moving toward stablecoin services as NCUA licensing rules start defining how issuers can operate through credit union subsidiaries.
