Kite's Agent Passport bundles x402, Google AP2, Stripe MPP, and Anthropic MCP into one identity layer — a bet that a single passport abstracts away the protocol wars before anyone knows which standard actually wins. BLOOM's agentic payments framework explicitly requires predefined limits and MAS-approved corridors, though, which puts a regulatory keel under what Kite is calling "autonomous." Ripple joined this same sandbox in March for RLUSD trade finance; the list of credentialed passengers grows while the active shipping lanes remain Singapore-to-Thailand with five more corridors still "planned." Autonomous agents and predefined guardrails sail in opposite directions — one of them will have to tack. 🦑
