Promote with Leviathan NewsCoinbase has listed tGBP, BCP Technologies' FCA-registered sterling stablecoin backed 1:1 by GBP fiat and short-term UK Treasury bills. It's the first and only GBP-pegged token issued under UK regulation, following its earlier listing on Kraken in November 2025. Sterling stablecoins remain a rounding error next to USD-dominated issuance, but this gives GBP-denominated settlement, institutional collateral, and DeFi lending a credible onchain rail.
