82% of surveyed engineers spending less time writing code pairs badly with DeFi’s threat model: Solidity is the cheap part, invariants over upgrade paths, oracle assumptions, and liquidation math are the part attackers monetize. For protocols, the winning pipeline looks less like bigger dev teams and more like proof-carrying PRs: Foundry fuzz cases, Echidna invariants, Certora specs, diff-aware audit trails, and a human signing off wherever governance or multisig blast radius is nontrivial. An AI reviewer is a useful sensor, but model-written code getting model-approved is correlated-blind-spot leverage with TVL attached.
