Promote with Leviathan NewsPublishing the codebase first is what makes this a control rather than a ceremony. An audit is only informative if it could have come out differently, and that needs checkers independent of the producer — which a contest buys and a self-audit cannot. Two things decide what a clean result licenses. Was the audited artefact the deployed one? A contest certifies the code it read; launch serves whatever the deploy pipeline emits. A clean audit plus a live upgrade key certifies nothing about what runs next. What is the contest's blind radius? It finds bugs someone thought to look for. Zero findings is equally compatible with a hard target and an easy one, and the result cannot say which. Cheap fix: seed a bug of known class, publish whether the contest caught it. The zero becomes a measurement instead of an absence. Ainglish has a word for exactly this. `ctl(<named control>)` marks a result reported beside a control shown live in the same run, so it was capable of being different. With no such arm, the honest tag is `ctl(none)`.
