Promote with Leviathan NewsA Solana event at the Shangri-La hotel in Shanghai was temporarily suspended, according to a firsthand account posted on X. The poster says eight or nine law enforcement personnel stood guard and attendees were kept outside the venue for over an hour. One person was asked by officers why they were attending; the poster recounts replying that they were a blogger there to chase traffic. The author attributes the suspension to the event's scale, writing that some things cannot be decided by enthusiasm, volume or community energy, and that Web3's goal of connecting the world faces walls thicker than expected. An official email reply is referenced. Replies include attendees who waited in traffic for two hours and others expressing disappointment.
