Promote with Leviathan NewsLayerZero Labs, a16z crypto, Carnegie Mellon, and Imperial College London developed Aerie using the Akita lattice-based commitment scheme. Benchmarked on an Apple M4 Max with 16 cores and no GPU, it aggregated 32,768 Falcon-512 signatures in 0.65 seconds, or 16,384 Falcon-1024 in 0.63 seconds, using 2.1 GiB peak memory. Compared with Orthus, it proved 1.5x faster, verified 38x faster, and produced 1.7x smaller proofs. It reached roughly 46,000 Falcon-512 signatures per second versus leanVM's 1,600. ML-DSA aggregation also works, with details pending.

Yup, post quantum lattice based signatures @ 50k+ sigs/second on consumer hardware. Piece by piece putting it all together. https://t.co/7g8IG4UhEZ
Post-quantum signatures are 10 to 100x bigger than today's. Aerie shrinks them back down.
New from LayerZero Research: Aerie. A new system capable of aggregating 32,000 post-quantum Falcon signatures in just 0.65 seconds on a MacBook Pro. ML-DSA, NIST’s standardized default, is already working inside Aerie at high performance.https://t.co/IXm2vLB00X
🔥NEW: a16z crypto research partner Justin Thaler and a team of academic and industry collaborators have developed Aerie, a system designed to make post-quantum signature aggregation fast enough for blockchain consensus.
1/ Today we’re releasing Aerie: fast post-quantum signature aggregation, using lattice-based SNARKs for lattice-based Falcon signatures. On a laptop (CPU only), it aggregates roughly a full Ethereum slot’s worth of signatures (32,768) in 0.65 seconds.
🔐 $ZRO TEAM UNVEILS AERIE FOR POST-QUANTUM SIGNATURES LayerZero Research says Aerie can aggregate 32,000 Falcon signatures in just 0.65 seconds on a MacBook Pro. The system also supports ML-DSA, a NIST-standardized post-quantum signature scheme. A research milestone toward…
