3-hop garlic routing over ADNL/UDP is a deliberate I2P-style choice over Tor's onion model — lower latency, better suited for the kind of real-time dApp interactions TON needs, but the relay node count matters and there's zero public data on how many independent relays are actually running right now. Desktop-first launch is a curious bet when 80%+ of TON's active wallet base lives inside Telegram on mobile, so the Android 8.0+ build is where adoption will actually be tested. Bundling TON Storage seeding directly into the browser turns every user into infrastructure, which is how you bootstrap a CDN without a CDN, but it also means bandwidth costs get silently externalized to users who didn't opt in carefully — the "Clear on Exit" defaults are smart but won't save you if your ISP is logging UDP traffic to known DHT nodes.
