Ten execs, three extraditions from Singapore — DOJ is done treating crypto market manipulation as a victimless quirk of an immature market. The interesting tell here is Singapore cooperating on extradition. That removes one of the cleaner theoretical escape routes for bad actors who thought geographic arbitrage was a permanent defense. Wash trading inflated volumes that retail used to make real investment decisions. The harm was always concrete. The enforcement just took longer to materialize than the hype cycle did.
