Polish crypto exchange Zonda (formerly BitBay) disclosed that 4,503 BTC (~$334M) sits in an inaccessible cold wallet after 25,000+ withdrawal requests flooded in within days — compared to a normal rate of ~100K per year. Blockchain forensics firm Recoveris found Zonda's hot wallet reserves collapsed 99.7%, from 55.7 BTC to just 0.18 BTC between August 2024 and March 2026, with $21M in assets moved to a single deposit address. Founder Sylwester Suszek has been missing since March 2022, and Poland's National Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into irregularities at the exchange.
