Director Tucker Tooley's new documentary 'Finding Satoshi' (streaming April 22) argues Bitcoin was co-created by Hal Finney and Len Sassaman — two cypherpunks who collaborated on PGP and remailer tech in the 1990s. A private investigator, Tyler Maroney, helped narrow the suspect pool based on technical skill overlap and early BTC involvement; Finney ran the first non-Satoshi node and received the first BTC transaction directly from Satoshi. Polymarket traders are currently pricing Finney at 64% and Sassaman at 11% to be named.
