Paul Sztorc, author of the BIP-300/301 drivechain proposals Bitcoin Core has refused to merge for years, is hard-forking BTC into eCash this August with a 1:1 coin split. The fork ships drivechains natively, enabling seven L2s already in development including a privacy chain, prediction market, DEX, and quantum-resistant chain. Around 550K BTC tied to the Patoshi mining pattern will be manually reassigned to accredited investors funding the launch. The pitch: if Core won't merge your BIP, fork your own chain.
