Promote with Leviathan NewsCanton says Logical Synchronizer Upgrades are now live on mainnet with Canton 3.5, letting successor synchronizer infrastructure run in parallel before validators automatically switch over. The upgrade model is aimed at institutional onchain finance: no export/import cycle, no validator-history rebuild, and legacy synchronizers stay available for 30 days before decommissioning. After four protocol-version upgrades since its 2024 launch, Canton is trying to make major changes routine before upcoming token-standard, BFT consensus, scaling, and decentralized validation work lands over the next 6-12 months.
