Summer.fi is ceasing operations after the July 6 Lazy Summer exploit extracted $6.04 million from two USDC vaults; the team says capital it held in those vaults removed its runway to rebuild. The app stays live through August 31 while the DAO works to restore withdrawals and redemptions across every vault, including the two exploited vaults. The DAO now controls the protocol’s fate after Lazy Summer reached $200 million TVL in nine months and Summer.fi/Oasis.app served more than 50,000 users.
