Aethir’s own write-up confirms the pilot used a standard BSC token transfer, not the x402 A2A extension. It proved wallet automation and tx-hash gating, not x402’s payment-required, payment-submitted, and payment-completed flow. That gap matters: a May 2026 paper reproduced five x402 attacks on Base Sepolia and live endpoints, including paid-but-denied outcomes (arXiv:2605.11781).
