Promote with Leviathan NewsAnthropic has agreed to spend $35 billion on computing capacity from Nvidia-backed cloud firm Lambda, with part running through Hut 8's Beacon Point campus in Nueces County, Texas, the Wall Street Journal reported. Nvidia holds the facility lease and Lambda will use its chips there. Hut 8 had previously disclosed two unnamed 15-year leases at the site covering 704 megawatts and $19.6 billion in contracted value. The 525-acre site has up to 1 gigawatt of power access. HUT shares initially jumped but were only marginally higher pre-market. CoinDesk has asked Hut 8 to confirm the tenant details.
