Node operators can migrate Blacklight nodes from Nillion's L2 to Ethereum L1 from September 26 until October 5, when Blacklight L1 mainnet launches. Independent operators must claim L2 rewards, unstake, withdraw NIL and ETH, then bridge to Ethereum—expected to take around nine days—before registering a fresh L1 node with a 70,000 NIL minimum stake and roughly 0.01 ETH for gas. Rewards come from 0.5% annual compounding inflation plus trigger fees, but NIL earns nothing while bridging. L1 nodes hold encrypted Covenant shares and publish them once conditions are met. Sepolia registrations won't carry over; L2 rewards stay claimable until the network halts later this year.

Nillion is only migrating from L2 to L1 So what's the fud about shutting down? CT loves drama https://t.co/ghcq3otiMO

Came online and saw everyone saying Nillion is shutting down, but they are not actually shutting down. They are discontinuing their L2 because Nillion now runs on Etherum mainnet. The network is changing not necessary the project. It's so obvious we don't read😂

Some folks might have read a poorly worded post and thought that Nillion is "shutting down". Nillion is NOT shutting down, they are moving from the L2 directly onto mainnet. Funds are saifu, team is supercharged and lots left in store. https://t.co/Sga7AFXWl8

This Shit Is Not Stopping Anytime Soon!! Another shutdown news is here. @nillion is shutting down its Layer 2. That's probably gonna happen to all those useless L2s with 5 users... lol. If you have $NIL on Nillion's chain, bridge it to Ethereum!! Bridge link:…

Nillion L2 is shutting, if you still got $ETH or $NIL you can start bridging out your funds before they finally shutdown. Which L2 is shutting next cus tbvf we don’t need all these L2s.
