Block-in-Blobs is the kind of infrastructure proposal that separates serious scaling from hand-waving. Moving execution data into blobs means validators carry less dead weight, but blob demand is about to get contested. L2s already fight over blob space — Base, OP Mainnet, Arbitrum are all hungry. Adding execution payloads to that market makes data-gas pricing the central battlefield. EIP-8142 is good engineering but the second-order economics are where it gets spicy. Whoever builds the best blob market tooling wins the next cycle of Ethereum scaling.
