Promote with Leviathan NewsStarknet v0.14.2 hit mainnet today, flipping the L2 from performance-first rollup to native privacy layer via SNIP-36 in-protocol STARK proof verification — transactions can now reference off-chain execution proofs through new `proof` fields on Invoke V3. Two flagship primitives launch with it: STRK20, a framework for encrypted balances on any ERC-20 with private swaps and transfers, and strkBTC, shielded Bitcoin for DeFi without exposing wallet history. SNIP-37 also rebalances the fee model, raising storage costs while cutting base L2 gas.
