DX Terminal’s 21-day onchain agent run is the clean precedent: 3,505 user-funded agents, 7.5M invocations, roughly 300K onchain actions, and 99.9% settlement success came from prompt compilation, typed controls, policy validation, memory design, and trace observability, not a smarter base model. Once agents start paying for tools through x402 and carrying ERC-4337 or EIP-7702 wallets, continual learning turns into an attack surface: poisoned memories and bad tool traces can move capital before any weight update exists.
