NEAR Foundation has joined the Linux Foundation’s x402 Foundation to help shape open payment standards for AI agents. NEAR plans to pair x402 payments with NEAR Intents for crosschain liquidity and confidential execution, NEAR AI for private inference, and NEAR Agent Market for agent discovery and coordination. Intents covers more than 30 chains and 180 assets, while NEAR AI offers TEE-enforced private inference across 40+ frontier models.
